"I spent ten days with Commanche, riding in the hills of Malibu while getting to know his wonderful character. I worked on my sculpture while in a round pen with Commanche where he delighted in picking up my tools and closely inspecting my work. I truly got to know his delightful spirit which I feel was captured in this bronze sculpture of him."
